Characters like Pixie and Brutus are well-known. Thanks to renowned comic artist Ben Hed, the comics follow the escapades of a rough-looking soldier dog with a heart bigger than the cosmos and an energetic feline who’s always up to something, and they never fail to surprise even the duo’s most dedicated supporters. It’s even more impressive when you know there are 2.5 million of them on Instagram!
Pixie and Brutus are back with a new set of humorous and serious adventures this time. Here are some of the cutest cat activities to make you grin, from Pixie attempting to conquer Mount Everest before realising it is beyond her tiny feline talents to Brutus morphing into a race car for the ride of Pixie’s life.

Ben remarked, “I never intended to make them a series; I just thought it would be a funny concept to introduce a lovely little kitten to a large fearsome war dog.”
People fell in love with the two endearing characters as soon as he released the first Pixie and Brutus comic, and he didn’t stop there. Ben’s signature drawing style and whimsical creatures have earned him a cult following of 2.5 million Instagram followers.
Ben replied that the biggest major change in his Pet Foolery comics has been “just my drawing style,” when asked how his comics have grown over time. “Seeing how much clearer and better my artwork is today compared to my early comics is incredibly amazing. Observing the progress gives me immense pleasure.”
Ben recently shocked his admirers with a new project in which he reimagines animals from viral images. The end result may be seen right here.
