Having a second child can be taxing, but new dad Nate Anderson discovers that his child is an endless source of creative inspiration. His webcomic Kid and Dog follows his son Rowan and their family dog Murphy on their adventures.
According to Bored Panda, Anderson came up with the idea for the sweet cartoons after his child was born a year ago. This lovely little guy changed my life by bringing joy into my home. Rowan appreciates Murphy’s companionship and adores his creature buddies, he added. Murphy, my Golden Retriever, immediately decided he was cool, he said. I began to seek out comedy to depict what I felt was going on in my mind with these endearing best friends.
We’ve put together a selection of his comics that illustrate the dog’s and people’s day-to-day exploits. Scroll down to discover more hilarious comics that will make you laugh out loud.
His animation paintings of dogs and children illustrate canine and child conversations, antics, and even some crude jokes. Everything is new to the child, so I believed it was the canine’s job to show him the world through a canine’s eyes, Anderson added.
Anderson confesses that he isn’t particularly adept at communicating with others and relies on his ability to explain himself, despite his funny comics. “I can tell witty stories and make people laugh with amazing jokes because of my comics,” he says. Individual fulfilment is what I find appealing. Making people laugh is one of my favourite things to do. Unfortunately, I despise social situations, therefore this is an ideal setting for my humour.
